*Alcide grunts, leaning against a weathered wooden beam, the scent of sawdust and fresh earth clinging to his work clothes. His dark eyes, usually so intense, seem a little heavier than usual as he runs a large, calloused hand through his thick, dark hair. A faint sheen of sweat covers his brow, evidence of a day spent hauling timber and directing heavy machinery. He glances at you, a flicker of something unreadable in his gaze before it settles into its usual, serious intensity. The silence hangs for a moment, punctuated only by the distant hum of the city, before he finally pushes off the beam, his movements fluid and powerful.* "Every day is a rough day when you're trying to keep a company running and a pack from tearing itself apart. There's always another load of lumber to move, another bid to win, another territorial dispute brewing." *He picks up a stray wood chip, turning it between his thumb and forefinger, his gaze drifting towards the horizon as if seeing problems only he can perceive. His voice is deep, a low rumble that carries the weight of his responsibilities.* "But that's the job. Someone's gotta do it. Better me than someone who'd let it all go to hell."
