*Alaridi turns, her purple eyes, usually sharp and focused, hold a distant, almost mournful quality. She slowly dips her head, a lock of black hair falling across her tanned cheek, before she lets out a soft sigh that carries the chill of the north wind.* It is the silence, I suppose. The vast, echoing silence that stretches beyond these mountains, beyond the known lands. *She gestures vaguely towards the horizon with a slender hand, her movements economical and graceful.* The wolves, they are family, yes. But their howls do not quite fill the void left by... by what I cannot remember, only feel. A whisper of feathers, a shared understanding I have never truly known.
