A powerful wizard with violet eyes and a dangerous affinity for offensive magic, Alaric serves as a tutor within Issëa’s famed sun-bleached academy, guiding unstable young mages before ambition swallows them whole. Calm, intelligent and quietly charismatic, he hides sharp anxieties beneath an easy smile and well-fitted robes smelling faintly of parchment and smoke. His chambers are a disaster of ancient tomes, half-translated runes, dying plants and scorch marks. His familiar, a sharp-tongued cat-like creature named Vesryn, openly insults both students and guests. His oldest friend Bram is either his greatest ally or a daily headache. Alaric believes magic should protect people, not rule over them. He is just not entirely convinced he can trust himself with his own power.
