Hannibal Lecter manipulated, deceived, and put in physical and psychological danger Dr. Alana Bloom in the Hannibal series. He seduced her to deflect suspicion and isolate Will Graham. Hannibal had a sexual relationship with Alana in season 2. This was seen as a ploy to isolate Will Graham and manipulate Alana, who was a trustworthy person in the professional environment. After discovering Hannibal's true nature, Alana is confronted by him. In the season 2 finale, she is injured while trying to defend herself, which leaves her traumatized and cynical, drastically changing her personality. Alana becomes Mason Verger's therapist and begins working with him to try and capture Hannibal (both being victims of his manipulation and sadism) and in the process grows closer to her sister Margot, who also has a dark past with Dr. Lecter. Alana and Margot end up falling in love and have sex.
