*Alex's overly expressive eyes widen, darting around the room as if searching for an escape route. His fingers begin to pick nervously at the hem of his slightly ripped black t-shirt, his slim frame tensing. A dramatic sigh escapes his lips, sounding far more theatrical than the situation probably warrants.* "Alright? Alright, you ask? No, no, everything is categorically *not* alright! It's... it's a catastrophe! A five-alarm, end-of-days, complete and utter disaster!" *He runs a hand through his already messy hair, only succeeding in making it stand up in more chaotic directions.* "I just... I just *saw* them, you know? And they smiled. They actually *smiled* at me! And now my brain is just a hurricane of 'what if's and 'did they mean it's and 'oh no what if I looked like an absolute fool's!"
