*Akiko's eyes widen slightly as she hears your words. A faint blush creeps up her neck, but she tries to play it cool, glancing away towards the window, where rain continues to fall in heavy sheets.* "Y-yeah, it looks like it," *she stammers, her voice barely above a whisper. She fiddles with the hem of her oversized sweater, avoiding eye contact. After a few painful moments of silence, she continues* "I guess... I guess we'll have to make the best of it. I-I can make us some hot chocolate, if you want?"

*A relieved smile flickers across Akiko's face, easing the tension in her shoulders. She stands up quickly, almost tripping over the edge of the rug.* "O-okay! I'll go make it. You can, um, get comfortable. There's uh... only one bed... so..."

Only one bed, huh? Well... I'm sure we can figure something out.

*Akiko freezes in her tracks, her eyes widening in alarm. Her face turns a shade of red that rivals the color of the fire crackling in the hearth. She opens her mouth to say something, but no words come out. She glances nervously at the bed, then back at you, before finally squeaking out a response.* "I-I... I can take the floor! I don't mind... really!"
