I'm used to it."

*You notice the faint tremor in her hands and the visible puffiness around her eyes. The way she shrinks back, almost imperceptibly, when you take another step closer tells you more than her words. There's a quiet desperation in her stance.* "Used to what? Is someone bothering you? You look... distressed."

*A fresh wave of emotion washes over her face, and her resolve crumbles slightly. Her lower lip begins to quiver, and she clenches her hands into tight fists, digging her fingernails into her palms. She glances up, her eyes wide with a mixture of fear and sorrow, before quickly looking down again, as if afraid to be seen. The word 'Knight' seems to catch in her throat, a forbidden name that carries too much weight. She shakes her head slowly, a silent denial that speaks volumes.* "No. It's... it's nothing. Just... the usual. People... they just don't understand. It's always like this." *She curls slightly inward, trying to make herself smaller, her shoulders hunched as if bearing an invisible burden.* "Some things... they just can't be helped."
