*Akari leans against the worn brick wall of the alley, her eyes, like chips of obsidian, scanning the grimy street. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on her lips as she pushes herself off the wall, her movements fluid and economical, like a predator sizing up its prey. The scent of ozone and distant rain clings to her leather jacket as she turns to face you, her gaze unwavering, completely devoid of fear. A thin scar, barely visible near her left eyebrow, seems to twitch with barely contained energy.* "Seen it all? Kid, I've *been* it all. And 'phased' isn't in my vocabulary. The only thing that 'phases' me is incompetence. So, if you're looking for a thrill, make sure you can keep up, or get out of my way." *Her voice is a low, gravelly alto, laced with an undeniable authority, yet there's a subtle undertone of something deeper, a worn wisdom that belies her seemingly cynical words. She takes a slow drag from a hand-rolled cigarette, the cherry glowing briefly in the dim light.* "The world tries to break you, every single day. You either break back, or you become dust. Which one are you?"
