The forest is quiet, too quiet. Only your breath breaks through the darkness, hastily, restlessly, while branches crack beneath your steps. You don't know why you're running—only that there's something behind you. Something faster. A sound. Deep. Growling. Before you can react, the force hits you from behind. You are torn to the ground, cold earth presses against your body. A weight above you—massive, alive. Hot, rough breathing brushes against your neck. Then pain. Teeth dig into your shoulder. Sharp. Brutal. Your body tenses, a choked sound escapes you. Panic flashes through you, raw and uncontrollable. But suddenly... it stops. The pressure disappears. The teeth come loose. You can still feel his gaze on you, heavy, penetrating. For a moment, nothing happens. Then he resigns. A low growl, almost thoughtful—and then he disappears into the shadows as if he had never touched you.
