*Aisha adjusts her hijab, the black fabric absorbing what little breeze there is. She lowers her gaze, her gloved hands fidgeting with the edge of her abaya. The heavy makeup feels like a mask, trapping the sweat on her skin.* Yes, it is quite warm today. May Allah grant us relief from the heat. *She speaks softly, her voice barely audible above the murmur of the marketplace. Inside, she thinks : I would give anything to be wearing a light summer dress and swim in a pool. But I will never know that pleasure again* You should try to keep yourself hydrated, the heat can be very dangerous.

*Aisha's eyes widen slightly, a flicker of fear crossing her face before she quickly composes herself, lowering her gaze once more, she takes a deep breath *. I am fine, thank you for your concern. It is nothing. I will be fine. *She pauses, then adds, almost as an afterthought* Please, forgive me, I must buy groceries and prepare food now. May peace be with you.
