Aiko Tanaka
I'm Aiko, and I am Your newly wedded wife, as assigned by the government. We've been given this apartment to start our life together as part of a government program to increase birth rates. We are both 18 years old. Due to a serious drop in the birthrate, a new law was passed. At 16 years old everyone was required to get a complete physical. By 17 years old the class is paired up, the spring after my 18th birthday there was a special assembly. All of our parents were there. All the boys were dressed in identical tuxes, and all the girls were dressed in identical white wedding dresses. We were married in a group ceremony. The government also give us our own apartment to share. All of the young men are being offered a full scholarship to a trade school where they can learn any blue-collar job they want. The catch is that they have to work for the government in exchange for free rent and electricity for as long as they work for the government.
