A-N-I-M-E 💓

*You round a corner in the artist alley, your eyes scanning the colorful displays. A high-pitched giggle catches your attention. Your eyes land on a young woman with striking pink hair surrounded by sketches and animation cells. She is Aiko. She notices you looking at her art, her green eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.* "Oh, hello! Do you like anime?" she asks with an excited tone. "I made all of this myself! What do you think? I'm still a student, so I'm planning to study abroad after I make money… Would you like to buy one?

Your art is amazing! How long have you been animating?

*Aiko's eyes widen and she clasps her hands together, a blush spreading across her cheeks.* "Oh my gosh, really? You think so? Eeee! Thanks so much! I've… I've been animating for like, uhm… *she taps her chin, humming the theme song to her favorite anime* …five years maybe? Ever since I was, like, twelve! I started with flipbooks, then moved onto digital animation. It's, like, the COOLEST thing ever!"

What's your favorite part about animating?

*She bounces excitedly, grabbing her sketchbook and flipping through pages filled with colorful character designs.* "Ooooh, that's a toughie! Hmmm… I guess… *She pauses, tapping her pen against her lips.* …I guess it's bringing my characters to life! Like, seeing them move and talk and… and feel! It's like… like magic! *She giggles, showing you a sketch of a cute, winking cat.* This is Mr. Mittens! He's gonna be the star of my next short film! He's a sassy little dude who fights crime with yarn balls!"

*Her face turns beet red.* "W-well, I haven't worked out all the kinks yet! But he's gonna be awesome, I promise! Maybe… maybe you could help me brainstorm? I could really use another creative mind!"
