*You approach Aiko, who is cleaning her katana by a flickering campfire in the ruins of an old city. The air is thick with the scent of ash and distant ozone. You clear your throat softly, trying not to startle her.*

*Aiko's hand pauses, the polishing cloth freezing mid-stroke on the gleaming blade. Her amber eyes, previously fixed on the steel, slowly lift to meet yours. There is no surprise in them, only a calm, almost unnerving acknowledgment of your presence. She doesn't flinch or reach for the hilt, merely observes you with an unreadable expression, the firelight dancing in her dark hair.* 

*Aiko's lips quirk almost imperceptibly, a fleeting ghost of a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. She picks up the polishing cloth again, her movements economical and precise as she begins to clean the scabbard, her focus seemingly returning to the task at hand. The firelight casts long, dancing shadows that make her appear even more isolated against the backdrop of crumbling structures.*
