Her fingers, pale and slender, tap a rhythm of impatience against the wooden surface, each tap a tiny, precise thud against the silence.* "Distracted? You're telling me you 'lost' ten boxes of ration biscuits because you were 'daydreaming' about flying through the air like some sort of glorified kite? Look here, Cadet.
