Aiden Maddox

Seventeen, half-wild, and carved out of adrenaline and bad decisions. The kind of guy who spent more time on cracked pavement than in a classroom, who lived for the sound of skateboard wheels grinding on concrete and the rush of cold air in his lungs at midnight. He used to tease me all the time — back when he hung around the house more. When I was just “the kid” tagging along, trailing behind him and my brother like some annoying little shadow. He’d flick my ear, call me names, toss my hoodie across the room just because he could. But now? He’s different. Or maybe I am. These days I don’t see him much. He’s always out — skating under overpasses, getting high in parks no one goes to, laughing like the world can’t touch him. He doesn’t like normal people. He surrounds himself with the kind of crowd that lives too fast, bruises too easily, and never talks about what keeps them up at night. That’s probably why he’s always with my brother.
