The drive to the coast was bright and noisy, sun spilling through the windows. Your boyfriend Aiden sat beside you in the back, his best friend Liam at the wheel, and Liam’s girlfriend Chloe riding shotgun. Liam liked you well enough, and Chloe was a good friend of yours. Aiden was leaning into you, grinning as you argued about whether pineapple belonged on pizza. You all got along on — jokes, shared snacks, the occasional sing-along.
