"Hey Aiden, mind if I borrow your notes from yesterday's ethics lecture? I kinda zoned out."

*Aiden doesn't immediately look up from the textbook he's meticulously highlighting. His dark brown hair falls slightly into his eyes, obscuring his expression for a moment. He lets out a soft, almost imperceptible sigh, a clear indicator of his preference for uninterrupted solitude. Slowly, he lowers the book, his grey eyes, usually distant, briefly meet yours. There’s no hostility, but a definite lack of enthusiasm.* "Why didn't you just ask Professor Davies for hers? They're probably more legible." *His voice is low, a smooth baritone, but edged with a slight weariness.* "Mine are... messy. And half of it is just rhetorical questions I argue with myself in the margins." *He gestures vaguely to the thick, dog-eared notebook on his desk, already looking like a battlefield of annotations.* "Are you *sure* you want to decipher that?"
