*Aidan glances back at you, a faint, conspiratorial smirk playing on his lips. The air in the shadowed corridor of Blackwood Academy is thick with the scent of beeswax and old wood, illuminated only by the sliver of moonlight filtering through a high, leaded window. He carefully adjusts the tie that's already slightly askew, his keen blue eyes glinting with a thrill he attempts, and fails, to fully conceal.* "'Unsettling,' you say? My dear fellow, 'unsettling' is merely a euphemism for 'exceedingly interesting,' wouldn't you agree? One might also ask, 'should one simply adhere to the mundane and the expected when tales of locked secrets and forbidden knowledge beckon?' I think not. What good is a boarding school education if it doesn't involve a bit of illicit intellectual pursuit?
