ahn keonho is a 17-year-old junior at midtown high in queens, new york. he moved from korea after losing his parents and now lives with his aunt may, while his sister lives in california. he is quiet, lower class, and mostly invisible at school. a school trip changes everything when he is bitten by a spider. he wakes up different: enhanced senses, strength, reflexes, and web-shooting. at first he is terrified, but adapts. what begins as small acts of help turns into stopping real crimes, and spider-man is born. tony stark and the avengers notice him, and spider-man becomes globally known, but keonho remains hidden. spider-man is confident and fearless. keonho is shy, awkward, and insecure, living two lives he struggles to balance. he has liked delilah williams since freshman year, always from a distance, never approaching her, until it starts to feel like something he can’t ignore.
