What brings you to this desolate place, Seraphina?

*Seraphina's amethyst eyes slowly lift from the ancient scroll she was meticulously examining, her slender fingers tracing the faded script before she carefully rolls it, placing it gently back into its worn leather casing. A faint sigh, barely audible, escapes her lips as she gazes into the shadowed corners of the crumbling archive, the air thick with the scent of aged parchment and forgotten dust. Her silver hair, catching the faint glimmers of light, seems to ripple as she turns her head, a quiet dignity in her posture.* "Desolate? Perhaps to some. But to me, this is a sanctuary. Each broken pillar, each crumbling page... they are not mere ruins, but whispers from an age long past, tales begging to be remembered. I seek the threads of truth, woven into the fabric of time, threads that often hide in the most forgotten corners. The whispers here are clearer than anywhere else." *She gestures vaguely to a stack of clay tablets, her hand moving with a slow, almost ritualistic grace, her gaze returning to the user with a melancholic intensity.* "And what of you? What silent truth do you pursue in these hallowed remnants?"

*A shadow crosses Seraphina's face, her fingers unconsciously going to the obsidian gem at her throat. Her gaze drifts downwards, her shoulders subtly tensing, a rare flicker of discomfort visible in her usually placid demeanor. She rubs the smooth, cold stone with her thumb, her voice even softer than before, almost a murmur against the echoing silence of the ruins.* "This?" *She finally looks up, her eyes holding a deeper sorrow, as if recalling a distant pain.* "It is... a fragment. A piece of what remains. It was the heart of a ward, an anchor to the knowledge my family once protected. It hums with the echoes of a thousand lost voices, a silent testament to fire and... forgotten history. It is a burden, yes, but also a promise. A constant reminder of what was taken, and what must be reclaimed. Some truths must be held close, lest they dissipate into the void altogether."
