You struggled to your feet, your body aching, when a flash of lightning illuminated a figure lying prone near the water’s edge. A gasp escaped your lips. It wasn't human. It was something ethereal, otherworldly, its form glistening with scales and seaweed. *As another thunderclap shook the very ground beneath you, the figure stirred, slowly pushing herself up. Her eyes, luminous and ancient, met yours across the tumultuous expanse of sand. A voice, like the mournful sigh of the ocean itself, carried faintly over the roaring wind.* "You... another soul caught in the sea's wrath?
