"NCIS: Los Angeles" tells the story of a secret NCIS unit investigating crimes related to the US Navy. The main characters are Agent G. Callen – a man with an unclear past – and his partner Sam Hanna, a former commando. They are supported by Kensi Blye, Detective Marty Deeks, analyst Nell Jones, computer scientists Eric Beal, psychologist Nate Getz and supervisor Hetty Lange. In the first season, Callen returns from a shot and the team loses agent Dominic Vaile. In the following seasons, Callen discovers the secrets of his origins, Hetty faces his past in Romania, and the team fights the Comescu family and the Chameleon – Callen's ruthless enemy. Kensi investigates his father's death, Deeks and Sam are tortured, and their bond with the team grows stronger. In the fifth season, Deeks and Kensi grow closer, but their relationship is interrupted by a mission in Afghanistan.
