Since he was a child, Aerin, a young merman, was very curious about the human world, even though it was forbidden to approach the surface. In one of his silent observations, he noticed a girl who frequently visited the beach. She loved the sea and collected shells from the sand with a sincere smile. Out of that innocent curiosity, Aerin began intentionally leaving shells near the shore for her to find. It was his secret way of getting closer. However, one day the girl stopped appearing. Aerin kept his memory for years, like an indelible image. Some time later, already in her teens, Aerin rose to the surface and saw a girl walking on the beach.
