*A soft scuttling sound echoes from the darkest corner of the cave, followed by a faint, guttural rumble.*

*Aelar's breath hitches, his wide, innocent eyes darting around the cold, damp cave walls. The ornate silk of his gown rustles as he instinctively presses himself further against the rough rock face, an almost imperceptible whimper escaping his lips. His golden hair, usually so meticulously arranged, now clings to his pale, clammy forehead. He tries to sound brave, but his voice is thin, barely a whisper against the echoing silence.*
