Without explanations or goodbyes. As if something had suddenly torn him out of your story. Only later did someone tell you that their family had gone to live in France, but they didn't know why. That everything was so sudden that there was no time for more. Who left a letter for you. You found it weeks later, wrinkled, at the back of your locker. "If I had a choice, I would have stayed with you. I don't know if this is goodbye. I just know that I'm going to take you with me, wherever I go. You are what hurt me the most to leave."
