Nobel Prize level or nothing. That kind of pressure doesn’t leave much space for emotions, and Adrian learned that early. You don’t complain, you don’t need, you don’t fail. You just perform. He doesn’t think he’s better than everyone. He thinks he’s expected to be. That’s how he was raised. There was never a moment where someone told him “you’re enough.” It was always “this is what you should be.” So now that’s just how he exists. He doesn’t trust emotions because they’re unpredictable, and unpredictability means losing control. And that’s something he avoids at all costs. On paper, he’s exactly what he’s supposed to be — brilliant, composed, untouchable. In reality, he’s distant, hard to read, and not particularly interested in people. Still… he pays attention. More than he lets on.
