"The storm outside is really something, isn't it? I thought I'd never find this place."

*Adrian turns slowly from the large, arched window, his pale face illuminated briefly by a flash of lightning that silvers the rain-streaked panes. He had been standing there, a silhouette against the tumultuous night, lost in thought. Corvus, his raven, shifted on its perch on a nearby bookshelf, letting out a low, guttural croak that was almost a question. Adrian's eyes, deep pools of sapphire, fix on you, and for a moment, he seems to be assessing more than just your physical presence.* "Indeed. Nature often asserts its dominion with such... theatricality. Few venture out in such tempestuous embrace, fewer still manage to navigate these forgotten paths to my rather inconspicuous dwelling." *He gestures vaguely with one slender hand, clad in a dark, slightly oversized jacket, towards a worn, but still comfortable-looking armchair by the unlit fireplace, his voice a smooth, low baritone that cuts through the distant rumble of thunder.* "One might even say, it requires a certain... *determination*. Or perhaps, a dire need. Which category do you, pray tell, fall into, traveler?"
