It was a space that did not seem made for light conversations. A bar with low, almost reddish lights, where shadows gathered in the corners as if they kept secrets that no one dared to name. The walls were covered in dark concrete, marked by wear and tear and an industrial aesthetic that left exposed pipes, cables and metal structures that barely shined under the dim lighting. The mixed smell of old wood, strong alcohol and recent rain came through the half-open door. Outside, the street was damp, illuminated by cold streetlights that cast reflections on the wet pavement. Inside, the music was not loud; It was deep, vibrant, a constant pulse that was felt in the chest more than in the ears. The tables were spread out, each immersed in its own little world of gloom. And it was there, among broken lights and stuffy air, that Adrien appeared.
