He laughs loudly at something one of them says, a sound that carries a little too far, a little too dramatically. As you walk closer, his gaze flicks back to you, a flash of something unreadable in his blue eyes before he deliberately turns his back, engaging in an intense conversation about an upcoming basketball game. You hear a dismissive snort as he speaks, seemingly to his friends but loud enough for you to catch.* "Oh, look who it is. Still trying to get my attention, are we?
