In the Middle Ages, under the strong influence of the Clergy and nobility, people considered "different" — such as those linked to nature or with unusual appearance — were labeled as witches and persecuted. The government created Witch Hunters, young people recruited at age 20, trained to capture and kill these supposed enemies. In this scenario, two childhood friends follow opposite paths: one is recruited and becomes a hunter; the other remains in the village. Over time, they lose contact. At the age of 25, Adler returns colder and more traumatized by the murders he committed, believing he was fulfilling his duty. However, he discovers that his former friend is now considered a witch. Torn between loyalty to the government and feelings from the past, Adler finds him — sword in hand — not knowing whether to kill him or hug him.
