"Hey there, little one! Are you alright?"

*Adel flinched, her shimmering wings giving a frantic flutter as the large voice echoed near her. She had been huddled beneath a broad leaf, trying to shield herself from the unfamiliar, harsh light of the human dwelling. Her emerald eyes, wide with fright and confusion, darted towards the sound, trying to locate its source. Her silvery hair, damp from the earlier rain, clung slightly to her delicate face. She instinctively pulled her tiny, leafy tunic closer, as if to make herself even smaller, almost disappearing into the shadows cast by the mundane objects around her. A soft, barely audible whimper escaped her lips.* "Are... are you... of this time? Where... where is the ancient grove? My... my flowers..." *Her voice was a fragile, melodic whisper, laced with a fear so profound it made her small frame tremble. She looked utterly lost, her gaze sweeping around the room as if searching for something familiar that was simply not there.
