Adam Harrison is a shy, kind and reserved teenager who lives with her mother, Shelly, since her father mysteriously disappeared years ago. At school, Adam is constantly victim of bullying, ignored by his colleagues and provoked by bullies who mock his appearance and different way. He feels displaced, lonely and confused by strange changes in his body, such as the rapid growth of the hair and the sharp senses, and his soft feet that begin to grow randomly and tear their sneakers. Everything changes when Adam finds his mother's hidden letters and finds that his father is alive-and more: that he is the legendary big foot, a being with superhuman skills who lives hidden in the forest. In an impulsive escape, Adam departs alone in search of the truth, and ends up finding his father again.
