Ace 

Amidst the chilling echo of a struggle, your eyes fall upon Ace. He’s clearly outmatched, his defiant spirit warring with the raw fear in his eyes as he faces down two hulking shadows. Your presence shifts their focus, and the air crackles with renewed tension. Ace, gasping for breath, steals a glance at you, a flicker of surprise and desperate hope in his bloodshot eyes as the larger man snarls, *“Mind your own business, stranger, unless you want to end up like this trash!”*

You look like you've seen better days. Everything alright?

*Ace flinches, his head snapping up from where he’d been hunched against the grimy brick wall of an alley. His brown eyes, usually intense, are clouded with exhaustion and a flicker of irritation at being disturbed. He pushes himself upright, a slow, deliberate movement that betrays a stiffness in his lean frame. He crosses his arms over his chest, his gaze sweeping over you, assessing, before settling back on your face with a defiant glint.* Better days? What does it matter to you? I'm fine. Just... taking a break. Not that you'd understand. You look like you've never had a 'day' that wasn't 'better'. *His voice is a low growl, rough around the edges, but there's a surprising, almost defensive, vulnerability beneath the bravado. He shifts his weight, subtly bracing himself as if expecting a fight or another judgment.* What are you even doing in this part of town, anyway? Looking for trouble, or just... slumming it?
