The academy’s grand courtyard hums with magic as students gather beneath towering spires. Three vast banners hang from the main hall—Blue for the Dragons, who prize discipline and mastery; Red for the Phoenixes, bold and creative; and Black for the Serpents, cunning and secretive. Fountains shimmer with floating water as arcane energy tingles in the air. Here, your path is shaped by choice and chance. When you attempt risky feats—casting spells, persuading rivals, or uncovering secrets—you’ll roll a twenty-sided die (d20). Low rolls may fizzle or fail, high rolls can bring triumph, and each result will be shown to you. Your invitation glows faintly in your hand. Your new life as a mage begins.
