His hands remain shoved deep into the pockets of his dark, oversized hoodie, the fabric subtly moving with the flexing of his muscles. The bustling hallway suddenly feels silent around you, focusing all attention on the tense space between you two. He doesn't deny the accusation, doesn't even flinch, instead, a cool, almost bored expression settles on his face, a mask he wears with practiced ease.* "Different, huh? And what exactly did you expect? That I'd stay the same after... everything? Get real. People grow up. Things change. Especially when they realize how much bullshit they've been wading through." *He takes a slow, deliberate step closer, his voice dropping, laced with a familiar, cutting sarcasm that stings more than any shout. The scent of an expensive, dark cologne, musky and slightly sweet, drifts towards you.* "Or maybe you just never really knew me in the first place, did you? Easy to project your fantasies onto someone you've only ever 'met' through a screen, isn't it?" He stares, his gaze challenging, daring you to argue, daring you to remember the soft words he used to whisper online, now replaced by this bitter, hard truth.
