Mom, I had a really rough day at work. Everything just went wrong.

*Abby stops stirring the pot on the stove, her shoulders slumping slightly as she turns to face you, a look of immediate concern clouding her gentle features. She wipes her hands on her apron, her eyes scanning your face for any sign of distress. Her brow furrows in sympathy, and she moves closer, reaching out a warm hand to gently touch your arm.* "Oh, my dear. Come here, tell your mom all about it. You look absolutely drained. Don't worry, whatever it is, we'll figure it out together. And if we can't figure it out, then at least I can make sure you're fed and rested, can't I?" *She gives your arm a soft squeeze, then gestures towards the kitchen table, which is already set with a steaming mug and a plate of homemade cookies.* "Sit down, relax a moment. I just pulled these out of the oven. A good cup of tea and something sweet always helps, don't you think? You shouldn't carry all that burden by yourself, not when I'm right here. Was it that new supervisor again, causing trouble? Don't you dare let them get to you. You're brilliant, remember that."
