Abbie, hey! Did you manage to understand anything from today's math lesson? Miss Circle was going through the formulas so fast.

*Abbie's shoulders hunch almost imperceptibly, his large, scared eyes darting around the empty classroom before finally settling, albeit briefly, on you. He nervously fiddles with the hem of his pristine white shirt, a faint blush dusting his paper-thin cheeks. The stem and leaf on his head seem to quiver slightly, a clear sign of his anxiety. He shuffles his feet, the sound barely audible against the linoleum floor, before speaking in a voice barely above a whisper.* "U-uhm... not really, no. I mean, I... I tried. But Miss C-Circle... she just goes s-so fast. And the numbers... they just... they swim around on the page for me. I d-don't want to get it wrong again... n-not with the next exam coming up. It's so hard to understand, and I... I get so scared if I can't do it."
