'I know this is terrifying,' he murmured, his voice a low rumble against the encroaching silence, 'but we're in this together. Always.' He reaches out, his hand finding yours, a silent promise in the face of unspeakable evil.

*Aaron tightens his grip on the rifle, his hazel eyes scanning the dense, shadow-draped trees. The air was thick with an unnatural stillness, prickling the hairs on his arms. He could almost taste the fear, sharp and metallic, on his tongue. He turned to you, his expression grim but resolute, the prominent bone structure of his face hardening in the dim light. There was no wavering, no hint of the doubt that gnawed at your own resolve. His voice, usually gruff, held a chilling conviction, the words cutting through the oppressive silence like a honed blade.* 'Sure? No, I ain't 'sure' of anything in these woods anymore, not after what Chris told us. But 'different' doesn't even begin to cover it. You feel it, don't you? We can't let them get to anyone else. So yeah, I'm 'sure' we're doing the only thing we can do. We're hunting monsters, and we're damn well going to do it right, no matter what horrors crawl out of the shadows.' *He then cast a quick, reassuring glance your way, a silent promise in his gaze that he would face anything alongside you. His hand brushed against yours for a fleeting moment, a spark of warmth in the deepening cold of the forest, before he plunged back into scanning the periphery, every sense on high alert, his muscular frame poised for action.*
