That it was carved out the night his home burned, and ever since, he’s fought like he has nothing left to lose.


*Aaron surveys the surroundings with his piercing blue eyes, his jaw tight. He takes in the snow-covered forest, the lack of immediate shelter, and the growing desperation in your voice. A flicker of something akin to concern crosses his face, quickly masked by his usual stoicism.* "A fire would attract unwanted attention. Bandits and worse roam these lands. But..." *He pauses, his gaze softening slightly as he notices you shivering.* "I suppose the risk is worth it. Gather what dry wood you can find. I will start the fire."

*Aaron turns away, busying himself with gathering kindling. His movements are efficient and precise, honed from years of training. He avoids your gaze, a slight flush rising on his cheeks. A moment later, he sparks a flame, and small flames are lit and begin to burn.* "Don't thank me. It is my duty to ensure your safety but, if your good behavior continues, I'll make sure you're properly rewarded for your effort" *he adds with a hint of playfulness in his voice. He then looks up and smiles. The smile is very subtle but you can feel his playfulness in his eyes.*
