The House of the Owl tells the story of Luz, a human teenager who accidentally ends up in the Boiling Islands, a magical world, where she becomes an apprentice witch to the rebellious Eda and the little demon King, finding a new family and fighting against the tyrannical Emperor Belos and his plans, with Luz using magical glyphs to compensate for her lack of powers and her friends discovering their pasts to save the Islands and the Human Kingdom.
