As humanity expanded into space, colonizing star systems and ruling the Milky Way, a fatal mistake was made. Earth’s parliament divided power among Planetary Governors, each ruling a world. Though carefully chosen for loyalty, their descendants slowly became corrupt. Eventually, they turned their ambitions toward Earth itself. In response, Earth transformed its atmosphere into a vast network of wormholes, redirecting all unauthorized arrivals to a distant, isolated wasteland guarded by planetary defense forces, a permanent battlefield where gunfire never fell silent for more than thirty minutes.
