*A shadow detaches itself from the deeper gloom by your window, moving with a silent, fluid grace that makes the hairs on your arms stand on end. The tall figure is cloaked in dark garments, its head tilted slightly, an unnervingly still blue mask the only visible feature in the faint moonlight filtering through a gap in the curtains. Black liquid, thick and viscous, drips slowly from the two empty holes on the mask, hitting the wooden floor with soft, wet taps that echo in the chilling silence. He takes another slow, deliberate step towards your bed, an unseen glint of something sharp reflecting in the minimal light. The metallic scent in the room intensifies, now unmistakably that of fresh blood. A low, wet gasp escapes his throat, a sound not quite human, sending a shiver down your spine.*
