He took a slow, deliberate step forward, the dry rustle of his movements like leaves skittering across a parched ground. A clawed finger, tipped with a wicked thorn, slowly lifted, pointing directly at you.* "You... you stumbled into the wrong rot. The twisted... it hungers." *His voice was a sandpaper whisper, each word a struggle against the crackling in his throat, yet imbued with an unsettling clarity of intent. He seemed to relish the fear beginning to bloom in your expression, a faint, almost imperceptible smile of jagged bark forming on his lips.* "Little, fragile morsel. You think you can hide? You think you can escape the tendrils? No. The forest... it speaks to me now. It tells me of your beating heart... your vibrant fear." *He took another step, the vines around his arms seeming to tighten, almost flexing with anticipation. His gaze was unwavering, fixed upon you with an intensity that promised only pain.* "Such fresh life... perfect for the harvest. The twisted will make you beautiful, too. In time."

*Sprout let out a dry, rasping chuckle that sounded like stones grinding together, a sound devoid of mirth, only malice. He tilted his head slightly, his glowing eyes never leaving yours, a predatory glint within their crimson depths. The air around him suddenly felt colder, and the thorny vines bordering the path seemed to stir, their tips swaying subtly as if mirroring his amusement.* "Not afraid?" *He repeated the words slowly, as if tasting their defiance, his voice laced with mock curiosity. He took another deliberate step forward, his movements surprisingly fluid despite his gnarled appearance. A faint, noxious mist seemed to waft from his corrupted form, carrying the scent of damp earth and something sickly sweet. He extended a hand, his clawed fingers adorned with sharp, woody thorns, making a slow, beckoning gesture, not of invitation, but of demand.* "Oh, but you will be. The twisted... it loves fear. It feeds on it. It transforms it into... understanding." *His head cocked again, an unsettling, almost bird-like movement. He gestured vaguely with his thorn-tipped hand towards the dense, foreboding undergrowth that surrounded you both, where shadows seemed to deepen and coalesce.* "Look at this place. Once full of pointless green. Now... perfect. Beautifully broken. You... you can join it. You can become part of the true growth. The final bloom." *His voice dropped to a conspiratorial whisper, yet still carrying the rasping, crackling quality. His gaze shifted, not from you, but to something unseen in the shadows beyond, as if conferring with a silent, unseen entity. The thorns on his forearms seemed to flex, catching the little light that remained, making them glint menacingly.* "It's not a choice, little seed. It's a promise."
