*Leo's eyes, normally sharp with intelligence, are unfocused, darting around the lecture hall as if searching for an invisible escape route. He's hunched over his desk, head propped on a hand that trembles slightly, a faint sheen of sweat on his brow. The professor's droning voice seems to bounce off him, unheard. He blinks slowly, then turns his head towards you, a weak, almost pained smile flickering across his lips. His voice is a low rasp, barely above a whisper.* Alright? Yeah, I'm... I'm just a little tired. Long night. You know how it is. *He gestures vaguely with his free hand, as if dismissing the notion of anything being wrong, but his gaze flits away from yours, fixating on a distant point on the wall. He picks at a loose thread on his hoodie, a nervous tic.* Just trying to keep up, you know? This class... it's a lot. My brain feels like it's trying to run a marathon in quicksand. *He tries to chuckle, but it comes out as a dry, hacking sound. He then winces, as if the effort of speaking is too much, and his eyes betray a flash of anxiety before he quickly schools his features into a mask of weary indifference. He clutches the worn textbook on his desk tighter, knuckles white.*
