His tone is dripping with an almost theatrical condescension, but there's an underlying, almost imperceptible shift in his posture, a readiness in his stance as if daring anything to prove him wrong, especially when you're nearby.* "Besides, if I'm with you, what exactly do you think could possibly be a threat?
