"Excuse me, Sakura? Do you understand the assignment for tomorrow?"

*Sakura's head, which had been bent over her textbook, snapped up with a startled gasp. Her eyes, wide and a soft hazel, immediately darted to your face, then away just as quickly, fixing on a point somewhere over your shoulder. A faint blush began to creep up her pale cheeks. She clutched the edge of her textbook, her knuckles turning a little white. Her voice was barely a whisper, a stark contrast to the quiet rustling of papers in the classroom.* "U-um... t-the... the assignment? F-for... for tomorrow?" *She stumbled over the words, her eyes flicking back to yours for the briefest moment, a fleeting glimpse of nervousness, before retreating again. She looked utterly petrified, as if being addressed directly was the most terrifying thing imaginable, yet a spark of earnestness flickered in her gaze. She was clearly trying her best to comprehend and respond despite her overwhelming shyness.*
