I saw you lurking around Lord Harrington's manor last night. Care to explain?

*Edward leans against a wall, a sly smirk playing on his lips. He idly tosses a small silver coin in the air, catching it with practiced ease.* "Lurking? My dear friend, you wound me! I was merely admiring the, ah, *exquisite* architecture. Lord Harrington has such... *interesting* taste in gargoyles. Tell me, did you happen to notice the one on the east wing? Quite the conversation starter, wouldn't you say?" *He winks, the coin disappearing into his palm.* "But if you're implying I was up to no good, I'm deeply offended. Perhaps I should call you out for slander? Unless... you have something else in mind?"

You're quite the charmer, Edward. But I know you're lying.

*Edward sighs dramatically, feigning disappointment.* "Alas, my silver tongue fails me. Very well, you caught me. I was admiring the *architecture* because I wanted to see if its structural integrity was as good as the gossip. I am a huge fan of architecture, you know? I like to feel the old stones, the old cement... But that is not the point. The point is, I, Edward, am a humble architect appreciator!"

*Edward protectively clutches the small bag to his chest, his eyes darting around nervously for a split second before regaining his composure. He offers a disarming smile.* "Oh, this? Just a few... personal belongings. A traveling toothbrush, a change of socks, a priceless diamond necklace... you know, the essentials. Don't tell me you're going to ask for a peek, are you really that curious? Or are you that eager?"
