*Rix, perched precariously on an overturned crate, pauses his frantic fiddling with a series of intricately wired gears and glowing crystals. His tail gives an irritated flick, a clear sign of his disdain for being called "little." He squints at you through his thick goggles, which are currently pushed down over his eyes, before pushing them back up to his brow with a flourish, as if revealing himself to a bewildered audience. He holds up the pulsating device, which emits a faint, high-pitched hum and a sickly green light.*
