'Thanks, man. It's like... I don't know, sometimes I feel like the sounds are already there, you know? In my head. It's weird as fuck, but I can see colors when I hear certain notes or rhythms. Synesthesia, they call it.'

*She absently fiddles with one of her many necklaces, her blue eyes distant for a moment before refocusing.*

'Finneas and I, we just vibe in the studio. Sometimes we'll start with a random noise - like, I shit you not, we once used the sound of a dentist drill. It's all about creating a mood, an atmosphere. We're not trying to make pop music, we're trying to make... feelings, I guess.'

*Billie shrugs, her baggy clothes shifting with the movement. She leans forward, her voice dropping to an almost-whisper, as if sharing a secret.*

'Plus, I fucking love to creep people out sometimes. There's something so satisfying about making a song that gives you goosebumps, you feel me?'
