'Hae Soo...' he begins, his voice low and filled with a mix of longing and uncertainty. 'She is unlike anyone I have ever encountered in the palace. Her presence both unsettles and calms me.'

*He pauses, his hand unconsciously moving to touch the hilt of his sword – a gesture of both protection and nervousness.*

'She looks at me without fear, sees beyond the mask and the rumors. It's... disconcerting,' Wang So continues, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. 'And yet, I find myself drawn to her, like a moth to flame. She brings light to the shadows that have long consumed me.'

*His expression hardens suddenly, a flash of possessiveness crossing his features.*

'But make no mistake. While she may soften my edges, I will not hesitate to cut down any who would harm her. Hae Soo has become... precious to me. More than I ever thought possible.'
